Here there´s a contemporary approach on the classic motif “still-life”. Abandoned bottles, dusty pots and worthless vases (or considered useless) were some of my main models for works between 2011 and 2013, under the allegation that for painting every and each object is enough. As in Chardin’s work, the motif is not necessarily the theme, and in the process of chasing for action possibilities on painting, I started this work series where the “look of the soul” and the poetic practice reveal the vastness present on any and each existing thing.
